It seems like time is flying since I began the transformation challenge. I just finished week 4 and I can already see some changes happening. I had started a new meal plan and workout routine 2 weeks ago and I was a little scared of doing the meal plan. It was a LOT of food which in my mind was more than I could not eat and still lose weight (part of the mental game). I mentioned my concern to the awesome friend who gave me the plan and she said stick to it, it was supposed to help my metabolism recover and super charge it. If it didn’t start working in a week we’ll adjust it… AND have a little faith. Well I decided I would have a little more faith, after all this friend knows her stuff and I have to trust her on this.
This week it has been working great!! I’ve started losing again and I’m still eating a “lot.” Awesome! She also said I would start getting hungry and I am! LOL
I’m also lifting a lot more free weights. Not many girls seem to venture into the ‘boys’ area in my gym but I’ve worked up the courage to do it. I psych myself up and just do it as if that’s where I belong… because in reality, it is exactly where I belong. I’m getting more confident everyday and in turn my workouts are getting better. Although this week, I’ve slacked on cardio two days. My legs couldn’t handle it. I tried running this morning. Made it a whole 5 minutes and nearly fell flat on my face. I took that as a sign from God to get off, pick up my dignity and head for the locker room. Tomorrow is a rest day and I think I seriously need it!! But Thursday will be better and I’m going to be hitting cardio harder. After I don’t have time to waste here.
A question I’ve seen pop up a lot on the BodySpace forum is, “why are you doing the transformation challenge?” Well for me it’s become more than just losing weight and transforming my body. Fitness has become a real passion of mine, something I can take pride in and something I seriously believe I can help others achieve. Doing this isn’t just for the challenge and it’s certainly not a hobby that I’m doing just for fun (though it is fun!). It’s a step toward becoming the person I was meant to be. Everything I am doing is an investment in my future.
