I'm 41, and I've struggled with my weight my entire life, mostly due to being an emotional eater. When it hit 240 lbs. I decided enough was enough. I'm learning to love myself, moving towards a healthier lifestyle and more positive attitude.
Fitness has changed my life in so many ways. I'm healthier now, both physically and mentally, than I have ever been in my life. I am also a much happier person.
I'm doing things I never in a million years thought I would be doing... recently I've signed up for 2 body transformation contests... win or lose, there are more opportunities than I ever thought possible.
Jan. 2011: 221 lbs.
Goal: 145 lbs.

I'm 38, self-employed and an overweight, emotional eater. My goal weight is 145, give or take 10 pounds. As of January, 2011, I'm starting my second attempt at working out and sticking to it.
After watching the scale creep up again, pound by pound, I realized that I could no longer ignore the fact that I was headed right back to where I left off 5 years ago at 245 pounds. Being overweight has made me tired, it's made my blood pressure increase, it's made my knees crunchy and overall has made me feel icky. I want to feel good again!

Time seems to be moving entirely too fast. Time, that thing I never have enough of. That thing I NEED more of! I have 4 1/2 weeks left in the Bodybuilding.com/Optimum Nutrition Transformation Challenge. To some this may sound like a lot of time, but not when it comes to losing weight and changing your body. In the 7 1/2 weeks I've completely,... Read more...
It seems like time is flying since I began the transformation challenge. I just finished week 4 and I can already see some changes happening. I had started a new meal plan and workout routine 2 weeks ago and I was a little scared of doing the meal plan. It was a LOT of food which in my mind was more than I could not eat and still lose weight (part of... Read more...
It's hard to believe it's already nearing the end of week 3. I've made some changes this week. A really good friend of mine, who happens to be a great personal trainer, gave me some sample meal plans so this week I started a new "diet" to help me throughout my Body Transformation Contests. I'm actually hesitant... Read more...
Sounds like a personal question, but hey, we got it like that don't we? While I was Wii-ing today ...hmm, lemme try that again. While I was playing Wii Tennis today, I was thinking about the first time I 'did' the Wii Gold's Gym Dance Workout DVD. I wanted to see what the dance was like, but didn't feel like actually...
